MTC Tips & Tricks brought to you by Meg

Sister Matsuura arrived safely in Sendai, Japan, and is now with President and Sister Sekiguch.

We won't hear about her adventures in Sendai until next week, so meanwhile, here's a questionnaire from our MTC veteran:

1. What most surprised you about the MTC?
-I was surprised by how much I actually liked the MTC. I thought I would hate being trapped, sitting in class all day and eating the cafeteria food, but it's been great! Also, they plant parsley all over the campus! Is that normal?

2. What do you wish you would have known coming into the MTC?
-No one told me we had to teach investigators the second day in our mission language. So I'm telling future missionaries, get a head start on gospel terms before coming to the MTC . ;)
Our investigator, Yui!

3. What has been your favorite/funniest MTC experience?
-Talking to people and pretending I know zero English. I can easily pass for a native Japanese here.

4. Whats your favorite part about daily life at the MTC?
-Four square. Mainiti (everyday). Gym time is precious in the MTC.

5. What's your least favorite part about daily life?
-Having to stand 30 minutes in line for a salad.

Meg saw her family in the gym during their tour of the MTC open house. 4 Square really is the celestial sport :,)

6. Any advice for newcomers coming into the MTC?
-Come with an attitude to learn. The MTC is unlike anything I've ever experienced. There are so many learnjng opportunities so take advantage of each one. You will have experiences here that you can talk about for the rest of your life.
