Out of the friend zone!

May 29th, 2018

Love her!

Over the past several weeks we've become really good friends with three high school girls named Hanae, Saika and Mihou. We met Hanae and Saika at English class when I first came to Hachinohe. Then they introduced us to they're friend Mihou! They are seriously the cutest and I try to be like them in every way possible!

Ever since meeting them we've attended a Japanese festival together, made apple pie, had a G.N.O. party, went out for yakiniku, attempted making a roll cake, etc.

Last week Jacobson Shimai and I had the impression that we should prepare three Book of Mormons to give to them. We marked some scriptures, included our testimonies and gifted it to them at English Class. Their reaction was priceless! Hanae started crying real tears! We're planning on meeting with them this Thursday to cook takoyaki and share a message of the gospel with them!

Just one of the many miracles of this week!

Beloved District

In very simple ways we can share our testimonies of the Savior to our close friends and family. Recently, Elder Renlund spoke at a conference for all the members of Japan. He addressed the need for us to simply be open about our beliefs, to talk about how the gospel has blessed our lives, to share our experiences with those around us with the purpose to inspire and uplift.

As we exercise faith by sharing our beliefs, the Lord will work miracles in our lives and the lives of those we teach.

Church is true!

I hope everyone has a good week:)

Love,
Matsuura Shimai
