Hope everyone is enjoying the new year so far! We celebrated
with some good mochi, sushi (I can actually eat it now), and visiting Buddhist
Shrines!
Also have some big news concerning my mission.
THE BIG ANNOUNCEMENT
I'm sure some of you have already heard by now, but the
Sendai Japan Mission is no longer going to be a mission starting July of this
year. The northern areas are going to become a part of the Sapporo Japan
Mission while the southern areas will become a part of the new "Tokyo
North Mission". President and Sister Sekiguchi are also transferring and
will be over the Tokyo North Mission. Although it is hard to see these changes
take place, I have full faith in this course of action. God does reveal His
will to His prophets and this is what the people of Japan need at this time. We
just need to keep trusting and moving forward! 😊
CHRISTMAS MIRACLE PART II
Last month on Christmas day we housed into an elderly woman
named Sato San. When we told her who we were she was so excited and let us in!
Turns out she is the mother of Brother Sato, one of the Izumi ward members! She
has a granddaughter who recently returned from the Fukuoka Japan mission (fun
fact: this sister missionary served in the same district as my cousin Ben
Nukaya!). When Brother Sato heard that we visited his mother he was overwhelmed
with joy! We are now all working together to help his parents come unto Christ
and enjoy the blessings of the gospel.
TRANSFER CALLS
Our short transfer has come to an end and we received
transfer calls! Suzuki Shimai is leaving me to go down south to Aizuwakamatsu!
So sad to see her leave after only 4 weeks :(
Love and prayers for you always!
Church is true!
